Entrepreneurship – Micro Enterprise Training Program – 1st Phase

Project Objectives:

The objectives of the Entrepreneurship Program for North Kosovo :1. To develop/adopt the practical entrepreneurship training program for this particular assignment/situation;
2. To equip youth with entrepreneurship skills necessary for self-employment;
3. To create linkages between training candidates and microfinance institutions;
4. To increase the capacities of two local hosting institutions for future training replication;
5. To give recommendations for institutionalizing/replicating entrepreneurship training;
6. To select two best business plans and support them in establishing a new business.

Project Results:
1. Pre-Training: Training of Trainers organized with 27 trainers;
2. Partnership created with Youth Center Prizren and Youth Center Drenas;
3. 129 applications received in all municipalities;
4. 50 participants trained;
5. Ten (10) modules delivered to participant;
6. 43 business plans received;
7. 2 grants delivered by USAID Kosovo Private Enterprise Program
8. Micro-credits provided to 8 winners of the competition;
9. 800 hours of free consultancy delivered to 8 winners;

This project lasted: 5 months
