SOURCING OF FUNDING

Main sources of funding of BSCK included grants and donations. More than 95% of sources of BSCK come from international donor contracts to BSCK. Below is an overview of projects implemented or currently implementing by Business Support Centre Kosovo:

  • Entrepreneurship – Program for North Kosovo, in 4 municipalities in Kosovo. Financed
    through USAID Advancing Kosovo Together (AKT) Program. Total budget 67,027.72
    Euro.
  • Increasing the competitiveness, Product Quality and Sales of Wood Processor in
    Ferizaj, Kacanik, and Shterpc – External Action of the European Union. Total budget
    546,175.08 Euro.
  •  BSCK has been awarded a two-year project entitled Facilitating Business Friendly
    Environment through One Stop Shops and Business Advisory Services by the
    European Union in Kosovo – Support for Regional Economic Development Project
    leading sub-consortium municipal partners: Pristina, Podujeva, Obiliq, FushëKosova,
    Shtime and Drenas a 495,000 Euro project establishing One-Stop-Shops over two
    years.
  • Kosovo Youth Development Project II, implemented by BSCK in consortium with D&D
    Business Support Center, financed by Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (World
    Bank). Total budget 158,950.00 EUR.
  • Enabling Private Sector Development in the Western Balkans (BSCK I), financed by
    SPARK/Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands, implemented from 2006-2008, total
    budget is EUR 1,002,778.00;
  •  Entrepreneurship Micro Enterprise Trainings Program, Phase I, financed through
    USAID Kosovo Private Enterprise Program (implemented by BOOZ ALLEN
    HAMILTON). Total budget USD56,471. Implemented in Municipalities of Prizren and
    Drenas. Implemented in 2009-2011;
  •  Enabling Private Sector Development in the Western Balkans (BSCK II), financed by
    SPARK/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Netherlands 978,998 Euro Implemented from
    2008-2011
  • Impact Study on Agricultural Finance in cooperation with MDF/Intercooperation (14,000
    Euro). Implemented in Kosovo and Albania in 2010;
  •  Human Resource and Communication Training for Kosovo Inspectorate Police (8,000
    Euro). Implemented in 2010;
  •  Green House as a Business, financed by USAID Kosovo Private Enterprise Program
    (2,640 Euro); Implemented in cooperation with Swisscontact and School of Agriculture
    in Prishtina.
  •  Business Opportunity for All, financed by US Embassy (23,000 USD); Participants from
    different entities: bosniak, Albanian and roma.
  •  Business Idea Competition (BIC) in Agriculture Schools in Kosovo, financed by
    Intercooperation – Horticultural Promotion in Kosovo (28,879.75 Euro); Implemented in
    cooperation with MEST/Danida;
  •  Enterprise Development for North Kosovo project financed by UNDP (48,589 Euro)
    resulted in establishing a Business Advisory Center (BAC) in South Mitrovica.
    Implemented in 2010;
  •  Entrepreneurship – Micro Enterprise Training Program, Phase II in 10 municipalities in
    Kosovo. Financed through USAID Kosovo Private Enterprise Program (implemented by
    BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON). Total budget USD 149,242;
  •  Entrepreneurship – Program for North Kosovo, in 4 municipalities in North Kosovo.
    Financed through USAID Kosovo Private Enterprise Program (implemented by BOOZ
